Re: Passover seders...

It's not the conduct of the seder itself per se, it's several very
important laws that we are being asked to violate. There will be
food cooked on Shabbat that we will be expected to eat. The food
will be cooked in the same pots and pans, and served on the same
plates, as the rest of the year (i.e., technically the food will
be chometzdik ["leavened"]). The seders will be beginning early,
which will (a) prevent us from going to synagogue, (b) violate
the prohibition of eating matzah on the day before Passover,
and (c) result in several direct violations of the Sabbath at
the second seder (candle-lighting, for example) and invalid
blessings (kiddush, havdalah, for example).
So if I could only change *one* aspect, which would it be?
I'm hard-torn between eliminating Shabbat violations and eliminating
chometz. :-(
I don't want to hurt my parents by telling them "your seders are
invalid", but Heather and I are at a loss for how to salvage our
Passover observance.
