The URL for comparing window managers is www.PLiG.org/~xwinman.
I've heard good things about XFCE, but have had problems getting
it working. Then again, I'm so pleased with KDE, that I haven't
been really motivated to dig in and figure it out either.
As with everything, decide for yourself what to use.
