Well, you may want to see the spec and patch files if you want to build
your own RPMs. I like to do this to keep track of what's installed on my
machine. Once you've done this once you probably don't need to make many
changes when you get a more recent source. I did find that I needed to
add "exit 0" to the configure script to get the RPM to build.

If your going to go thru the steps to build the source, you might as well
build an RPM while you're at it.
