It didn't reboot for a few days before the problem (when it updated).
Ah, looking farther back in the logs:
Dec 17 13:59:41 sunny unix: IP: Hardware address '00:00:94:23:5f:e4' trying \
to be our address 018.172.002.173!
This was followed by lots of "lost contact with" messages, which were
never followed by "back up" messages (except on the console -- and "fs
checks" says all is well now). It looks like a Mac blew me off the net.
