Is this always on the same machine from which you sent the bug report
(w20-575-17)? If not, do you see it on other platforms?
You mentioned in the first mail that Netscape also exited like this one
time; the other times, were you running anything besides Matlab and did
anything else odd happen?

For what it's worth, "add matlab; matlab -ver 5.3.1" works.
If you find that the bahavior is reproducible with Matlab 6, but not
with 5.3, I think the next step would be looking at exactly what you're
running in Matlab...We haven't had any other reports like this.
