What were you trying to do?

I was working in matlab, which I was running out of /var/tmp.

What's wrong:

Matlab Suddenly stopped running, and exited with "Done" status. This
has happened twice yesterday and twice today; this morning (6:40 I
believe) and just this afternoon at about 6:07 Athena time. This
seems to coincide with the running of a crontab file in /etc but I am
unsure if the connection is real or not. Yesterday when it happened I
was also running netscape from /var/tmp and it too exited abruptly.

I have used matlab version 5.3.1 in /var/tmp before and do not recall
any problems. I would run this again but the -v option does not
appear to be supported for "add matlab" anymore.

What should have happened:

Matlab should not have exited, but rather it should have continued
along it's merry way.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

I ran "strace -p PIN > mat_trace" on the matlab PIN this morning upon
starting up matlab, but the file mat_trace appears to be blank...?
Perhaps you can recover it. Apparently I am not zen with the "Way of
strace". Eit. Good luck.

Eric
