Simple: Request that an open port on an existing jack be activated for ethernet. This is a request that will be submitted to the Computing Help Desk for four or fewer ethernet activations. Complex: Request that multiple ports be activated and/or request that new jacks be installed. This is a request for large (five jacks or greater) and complex network installations only. Please add/subtract/edit as you see fit, and I'll update the changes. Kris >http://web.mit.edu/is/help/network/install.html > >can you please rework the wording so that it is clear that single jack >requests go to the helpdesk and are not complex. we have had two >customers use the complex drop request form to ask for a single jack and >drop. that should go to the help desk. from the wording next to Complex >Ethernet Installations, i can see why they think a new jack is handled by >the Complex form. > >thanks, >jonathan >DCS x3-0172
