Actaully, if someone *really* wanted to do this, the `right way', I think, would be with libagrep, which *could* catch mispellings and tpyos. What I wonder is if there are appropriate hooks in the mailhub configuration for making this easily selectable on a per-list basis. It can't (and shouldn't) be implemented for every list and user, certainly...
