well, i had the interview today. i even think it went reasonably
well. the stuff that draper does is really pretty interesting, if you
just ignore that it's going to wind up being part of some missile
guidance system, or autonomous defense submarine, or whatever.
they asked whether i had any reservations about working for defense.
and i told them what they wanted to hear. something along the lines
of "no, unless i'm asked to singlehandedly design and build a bomb
that will destroy the world..". was i lying, if i've already decided
that i'm going take the intership if the offer it to me, regardless of
how i feel personally about the military and defense and regardless of
how angry i might get at myself for it?
