I'm not sure Spock would be the ideal role model. Would you want to go
around exposing your thoughts and feelings to strange aliens? :-)

As I understand it, the latter is the path most Vulcans follow. Only those
students who reach the {\it Kolinahr} level of mastery actually eliminate
emotion.

And what of the Vulcan IDIC philosophy -- infinite diversity in infinite
combinations? That diversity is part of what makes life worth living, and
people worth meeting.
(Sorry, maybe I've spent too much time reading Star Trek.)
