No, pain is not a win. Certainly not. Painful relationships are bad
and should be fixed or terminated.
My previous relationship was wonderful, the first time I've had no
reservations about somebody I was involved with. Its end three months
ago caused great pain. However, I would not trade the six months I
was with her in exchange for not having had to deal with it ending;
the time we were togther was simply worth too much to me.
In short, no, I don't like pain, but I accept it a worthwhile risk to
take.
