Why do you *have* to go through a tremendous amount of pain in order to
end up with a working relationship? They seem to be correlated, but one
doesn't necessarily cause the other. :-)
My current relationship has developed beautifully with minimal pain. OK,
we can only see each other on weekends - which is painful - but it's
nothing like the kind of pain that other relationships have engendered,
nor like what I've been seeing friends go through. I've been wondering
lately if there's something "wrong" with this, but I don't think so;
I think we've dealt with the potentially-painful situations with a lot
more patience and love than I would have been capable of in past
relationships. It's nice to finally get it right. :-) (should this
go in another meeting?)
