I have always resented the assumption that I don't care, or care less,
about a possible offspring of mine, as compared to the woman who would
carry the child. Sure, I cannot physically get pregnant. Big deal.
That doesn't mean I don't care about the child, or about the changes
in my/her life it would require, or the choice between having an
abortion, giving the child up for adoption, raising it
myself/together, etc. etc.

Being pregnant only lasts nine months. Children last must longer.

(I guess this sounds like I don't think "getting pregnant" is a big
deal, which is not the case. I just don't think it is the ultimate
factor involved.)
