Just curious. What role would they play as advisor. Community,
faculty/staff, or scouting? I don't think it would work as a faculty/staff
advisor unless they were also teaching or on staff. Just curious for some
odd reason.

Why couldn't they fulfill the duties required of an advisor? I fulfill
my duties as an advisor and I live almost 2 hours away from the chapter
I advise. It's not as involved as it is for a pledge or active brother.
I agree with the proposal, I know someone in my section who is returning
to school and would feel out of place as an active brother now.
