Curious about this LEADS **cough, cough** APO LEADS thing everyone is
talking about? APO LEADS is the National Leadership Development Program of
Alpha Phi Omega. The courses help you develop leadership skills that you
will use both in your chapter and in your professional life after
school. You can learn more about the courses at the national Leadership
Development web site (www.leadership.apo.org).
Know what it's all about but need to find a course to attend? Go here
www.leadership.apo.org/request_list.html for a list of all the upcoming
courses. Everyone is certainly welcome to attend courses being held at a
conference. If a chapter near you is hosting one just for themselves,
please contact that chapter before showing up. Most chapters welcome
visiting Brothers openly but there just may not be a spot for you in that
course, so be polite and check first.
Are you an alumni who's been through some of the courses and would like to
become a presenter? There is still room in the Basic Skills training
courses at both the R8 and R1/2 conferences. Check the training page at
www.leadership.apo.org/training.html for more information including the
Presenter Development Guide, a must read for all future presenters.
Hope to see you at a course soon!
In Brotherhood,
Chris
