hi all,
to summarize what has been the usual practice:
it's takes a lot of time to set this job, and a lot of hours to print
it. each card needs to be manually inserted into and taken out of the
press. each letter on the card needs to manually inserted. it also
takes at least a day for the ink to dry. SO IT HELPS TO HAVE THE
INFORMATION SOONEST.
usually, the reg day chair gets 3000 to 3200 cards from Wayne, and is
responsible to get them distributed at Reg Day.
usually, the book exchange chair is responsible for disturbing them at
book exchange. some terms, one is inserted in each book sold as a
bookmark. other terms, they are just in a pile at the cash table.
the prior term's reg day cards have been kept around the APOffice as
scrap paper, and care needs to be taken they are not used by mistake.
usually, the press-op-in-charge mercilessly badgers the svp, mvp, and
book exchange chair for
* date(s)
* time(s)
* location(s)
of
* open meeting(s)
* open project(s) and title of projects
* book exchange
and if books are being collected on Reg Day:
* book exchange drop-off
at times the information is incomplete and.or inconsistent, which adds
to the delay in getting the job done.
layout is done by the press-op-in-charge who consults with the svp,
mvp, and book exchange chairs if needed.
the press-op-in-charge then gets them printed, and tells the reg day
chair where they are in the APOffice.
the reg day chair tells the book exchange chair where he left them in
the APOffice.
