Hi Lori,
(Mitch: help request for you below)
* David Nawi <dnawi@MIT.EDU> wants a qualifying run
and Mandi Holmes <holmesmd@MIT.EDU> wants a training run
I'll handle whichever one you don't take on.
Mandi may want to be trained during IAP. She is out of town in
Europe for a few more days. Dave does not have APOffice access,
either.
I find either kind of run takes 6-10 hours, split-able into two 3-5
hour sessions. These envelopes should be on the shorter side.
* The PMD ink is still there, but bone dry. I left it and a photo
canister that was next to it of blue/green ink (also bone dry),
filled with solvent in paper cups, on the bottom white shelf next to
the light switch in the rear APOffice. With a mortar and pestal and
patience ...
It probably be wise to mix or buy more. If you or Mitch can't look
into buying a can, i can. Tiny chance LSC might have the shade in
stock (Mitch: could you ask?)
I didn't go through all the ink drawers to see if we had more teal.
* The sans serif faces we have are usually in cases marked "Gothic".
"News Gothic Condensed" is the only one I remember, and it a good
bit squarer and plainer then Helvetica.
You might be able to find the samples of what you printed in the
past, and the font you used from that.
* I forgot to look and see if we had 250+ A-6 envelopes.
* I'll be out of town starting President's weekend for 10 days or so.
Otherwise, I'll try to be around, and distribute some of the decade
backlog of set type.

Subject: PMD needs 225-250 A-6 envelopes printed by 2/24
Hi!
My charity, PMD, needs 225-250 A-6 sized envelopes printed
no later than 2/24. They only require the return address printed
in a Helvetica-like, sans serif font on the back flap
(i.e., no differential bedding!), ideally in a teal ink color close
to pantone 327, for which there used to be a plastic film
cannister in the ink cabinet that contained some already
mixed many years ago.
I can provide the card stock if none is on hand.
I can help/train if the press op/trainee has office access
since my MIT id card still didn't work on the office door
as of November. Presidents Day weekend or an evening
would be ideal for me. I'd love to schedule this sooner
rather than wait until the last minute.
