i think you need to chill. ive never done a hard-drive install, but ive done a
bunch of ftp installs which, according to yer accusations, should also be
impossible and guess what ... i never had a problem. sure, redhat wants you to
buy their cd. linux may be free, but redhat needs to generate revenue to offer
you the best linux solution they can, plus lots of value added stuff. but
would they sabotage their own product and force you to pay for it?
sounds like you've been running microsoft products for too long.
