The limitations of the DOS filesystem are in no way RedHat's fault.
If someone wanted to come up with some code that would let the
installer extract the data from a tarball, that would be cool. What I
mean is: many decent ftp servers allow you to get an entire directory
when asked for <directoryname>.tar This tarball would let you keep
permissions and case intact, even on a DOS filesystem. : )
