Hi Nelson.

You need to make sure the Linux source is installed. Type "rpm -q -a
| grep kernel" (without the quotes) and see if you get something
like:

kernel-ibcs-2.0.35-2
kernel-pcmcia-cs-2.0.35-2
kernel-2.0.35-2
kernel-headers-2.0.35-2
kernel-source-2.0.35-2

You don't really need the ibcs or the pcmcia to recompile your kernel
but it doesn't hurt.

If you're running X-Windows you can:

cd /usr/src/linux
make xconfig

It uses a GUI interface to decide the options for your kernel. It
might be easier for you.

How do I compile my kernel to support vfat or vfat32? Someone told me,
and
I read that, I should go to /usr/scr/linux and type make menuconfig
but
that didn't do anything for me.

Thanks,
Nelson
