Speaking of doing a full upgrade: How *do* you do a full upgrade over
FTP? I kind of doubt the ol' boot-and-supplimentary floppy images would
be of use here, as they wouldn't support my ethernet card, and I'm at a
bit of a loss as to where to look for instructions. (I bought the blue
box 5.0 CD, and have to rebuild a machine that crashed *hard* a little
while ago (it stops after reaching the initalizing-random-number-generator
bit in the startup sequence, and I can't figure out why. The only thing
I did before it crashed was comment out the getty line in inittab, and
after it started locking up, I put getty back in. Still locks up. But I
digress.) and, as long as I'm reinstalling, I'd like to get a most-recent
version install ... but I dunno how.)
And if the above paragraph actually parses in English, I'll be amazed.
