If it worked configured as plug and play, I'd reset it and try. Don't desert a
winning system. If PNP doesn't cause any problems, leave it alone. I'm typing
this on a triple boot machine with the same modem. (NT,98 and Caldera) with the
same modem. I didn't tuch it out of the box and it works on all three systems.
(I switched to Caldera because that was the easiest way to get KDE and
StarOffice. It worked with RedHat too). Two of the three OS's are not PNP aware.
However, 98 is, and if you start, manually configuring cards in 95 or 98 in a
box with a lot of slots filled, it will eventually cause major grief under those
systems.
