Another excellent point. The method in which you make this point is
both interesting and very intelligent. The personal attack goes a long way
to describe the manner in which you most likely approached the debugging of
your hardware, and discussing issues with RedHat.
I appreciate your exhaustive research on the WIN 95 OS. I would probably
add to the statements made - your mileage may vary. I have used Win95. I
have found it both sloppy, buggy (dies/hangs often IMHO)and slow (not to
mention bloody expensive) My question is, why did you decide to move to
Linux if Win95 is so wonderful?

To address this, I must say - tough. I have never read anywhere that
Linux will support all hardware. If it works with micro$haft stuff - use
it there. If it does'nt work in Linux, your options are to write your own
driver, ask (nicely - without personal attack) a previous driver writer to
do so, or put up a general request on a list such as this one (without
whining).

I wonder, can someone clarify for me what the contract states? Is the
support for installation only? Does RedHat have an approved (and 'supported')
hardware list? I wonder if this sound card is on the 'supported' hardware list?
