Hello all!
I was recently given an Adaptec 1542CF SCSI Host Adapter that IMHO looks
ancient. I've heard "greater than 1 gig bios" term being tossed around
about the 154x series of cards, but I can't find specific information about
it anywhere.
Do I need a BIOS upgrade on the card? How can I tell? Where can I find a
detailed discussion about these cards?
Can someone who has had experience hooking up large (4 GB) hard drives to
these older boards please email me so I can ask specific questions about
what I need to do to make this work?
Thanks is advance for all of the help!
