No one loves or loved RedHat 3.0.3 more than I. I've raved about it
and recommended it often on irc. I'd have been thrilled to upgrade to
4.0. But I'm flabbergasted and stunned to hear about so many problems.
So much of the software that I use on 3.0.3 seems not to work right on
4.0. I gather that for each problem, there's a way to fix it. But I
have a lot of work and can't spend every day trying to get the basic
software I depend on to work. I especially used to recommend RedHat to
linux newcomers; now I would never do that.

On top of that, it seems RedHat is purging all the 3.0.3
compatible stuff from their site. Suddenly I'm stuck! I can't believe
it. I've gone from the cutting edge to having to think about how to move
over to another distribution or be out of date.

Will there be 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 that has everything fixed?
