Help! (I know this isn't Linux or RedHat specific...)

I thought I had sendmail licked, but it wants to do a DNS lookup
any time mail is added to the queue. I'm starting sendmail without the
-q option, so it won't clear the queue until I do it manually, which is
peachy. That works fine.

Trouble is, I'm using diald and when I use mail, elm, whatever to compose
outgoing mail (even local mail) the DNS request from sendmail triggers
the PPP link. I could setup diald to ignore those requests, but then
diald would be nearly useless. As it is, I might as well clear the
queue after every message since the link is up.

I've gone through declaring "expensive" connections -- is there a way to
configure sendmail to hold off on the address resolution until the queue is
cleared?
