Hmmm,  are you by chance installing this from the hard drive?  I had the
same error when I installed RHD 5.1 from the RedHat tree on the hard
drive.  Idon't remeber exactly what I did to get it right but it
basiclly amounted to haveing *all* the updated rpms.

P.S. If you run lilo from the rescue disk you will have to include the
config file (/path/lilo.conf) on the commandline.  Check out `man lilo'.
