Failed installing LILO

I have installed Redhat 5.1 on my system and the install went well,
except for the LILO install. It gave me an error message saying there was
a problem installing the bootloader. I then booted off of the install
disks and chose rescue. I mounted my linux partition (I have a
Win98/FAT32 partition and the Linux partition dual boot) on /dev/hda5 and
I can access everything fine. So know I wonder, how do I manually install
LILO? I am pretty much a Linux newbie so detailed info would be VERY
helpful. Thanks to all.
