[description of how it takes my laptop half a day to boot]
Nathan built me a kernel that solved many of the problems, but on his
way out Bill heard part of the conversation and suggested that the
laptop CPU might be in some excessive power saving mode. Sure enough,
whe I turn off "Smart CPU" the alptop boots in a perfectly reasonable
time.
Nathan, do you mind if I blow away your kernel build tree?
On a related note, are tehre instructions for rebuilding your kernel
for a NetBSD Athena 8.2 machine (or for NetBSD in general these days)?
(I'm really asking everything from where to get the source (is it
installed on NetBSD Athena machiens by default?) to what do I need to
do to end up with a kernel I can install.
Thanks,
Jonathon
