ncr53c8xx-3.1c-for-linux-2.0.36 can't compile with NORMAIL IO. I tried a
stock 2.0.35 kernel with the NCR driver compiled with NORMAIL IO and it
made no difference.
I put in a BT-946 last night, and it boots up with no error messages, but
the scanner seems even less reliable.
