I remember as you say, that it is a very early 810, that I had a problem
with a 810 after I updated my BIOS of a GB-HX-board. I got errors when the
GUI starts (as it gives heavy load). It hangs win95 and Linux. I remeber,
that newer 810 belong to a different PCI-class. If you do a cat /proc/pci
it will probably not say "SCSI storage controller" but "non VGA..". I
think it is possible, that this card is not compatible with PCI-standard
of today.
