Hi,
I am new to linux as well as this group. So please pardon me
if this question was asked and answered earlier. I am looking
to setup my PC with a SCSI adapter (PCI) and am evaluating various
adapters available in the market and checking if drivers are
available for them. I run Linux 2.0.32 on my machine.
Now my Qs are:
- I see SCSI and QLogic driver sources under
/usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi. Are they built-in to the
kernel? What adapters go with them? What do I need to do
if I choose, say, a PCI-to-Fast/Wide SCSI adapter?
- I found some Fiber channel adapters available in the web.
But is there any driver support available?
- Can you guys please give me pointers to writing device
drivers in Linux?
Appreciate the information very much.
Thanks,
Chidu
