I'd second the SDT-9000 recommendation. We got one, and for a while it
didn't work at all, and I was ready to tear it to pieces and send some
hate mail to Sony. Turned out that the power coupling from the case was
corroded (it was an internal unit). Once we fixed that, the thing has been
working like a charm. It's fast and increadibly reliable.
