No, the 53C8XX driver perfectly copes with various speeds, even for
drives with same type but different speed. I assume your physical
layout of the bus is beyond the specification.
And, please, limit your signature to four (quattro) lines, not 14. I
might collect and send back your signatures otherwise since I don't
like signatures that long ;) I strongly dislike mails which contain
more signature than information and so do others.
