Sounds like a geometry mismatch. You neglected to mention which SCSI
cards you're playing with.
You might be able to get by with something like this in lilo.conf
disk=/dev/sda bios=0x80 sectors=62 heads=67 cylinders=1017
Of course, replace the last 3 values with whatever fdisk tells you using
the original SCSI card. I had to put in the above when moving from an
NCR810 to a BT-946 without repartitioning.
