Hi Guys,

Simple question - has anybody had any experience in swapping SCSI cards
while attempting to keep all information available after the swap.

Can't do a backup, as putting a tape-drive onto the SCSI bus causes
time-outs.

Have compiled the kernel complete with the two SCSI cards in, but when I
swap the card and boot I get the dredded 'LI'. All is ok after I swap
back.

There must be some parameters in the boot-sector that are relevent to the
old SCSI card that the new one has problems with.

I guess that I will have to boot from the Redhat boot disk and pass some
parameters but ?

Can anyone help please ?

tia
