I get similar error messages. I think that this is related to the timeout
values in scsi.c and other places. I know that this has been posted
before, but it would be great if the wizards could publish the names and
locations of those timeout values worth experimenting with as I misplaced
the postings. Those that post the timeout defines can publically spank me
for losing the previous postings 8-(

"He had bought a large map representing the sea,
Without the least vestige of land:
And the crew was much pleased when they found it to be
A map they could all understand.(25)"

(25) In contrast, a map in Carroll's "Sylvie and Bruno Concluded", chapter
11, has *everything* on it. The German Professor explains how his
country's cartographers experimented with larger and larger maps until
they finally made one with a scale of a mile to a mile. "It has never
been spread out, yet" he says "The farmers objected: they said it would
cover the whole country. and shut the sunlight! So now we use the
country itself, as its own map, and I assure you it does nearly as well."
