Dual ASUS P166, ASUS SC875 + Adaptec 1542C. Linux 2.1.51.
scsi/hosts.c patched to look for ncr53c8xx before Adaptec. The 1542 is
only present to handle an external box, currently powered down. The
system has been working fine for several weeks, then within 20 minutes
I got two sets of error messages.

This is the third Micropolis 3243, the previous two died. This
replacement is the version with the special electronics, rumour has it
that this version was created especially to replace dead 3243's.
