The Adaptec is not a hardware RAID controller. Adaptec has all RAID
logic in the lowlevel drivers for the controllers. Since Adaptec does not
publish the source for this, the controller is nothing but a
multichannel controller.
For me the PM3334 is obviously a good choice.
