As the author of a soon to be released "how to" Internet book I had
to wrestle with this problem. Legal counsel for the publisher
(O'Reilly and Associates) was fearful of the lack of case law about
this very topic, so it was suggested I either obtain permission
or change examples. So all the newsgroup use examples were screen
captured and then the names and text changed to protect the guilty.
