I have had a request to identify automated catalog systems for indexing
article-level records. The requestor is a graduate student in physics who has
collected articles, conference papers, etc. and would like to catalog them and
have access by author, title, date, journal, keywords, and possibly a comment
field.
He would like the system to run on DEC/Vax or Macintosh hardware and be
accessible to his colleagues--probably over a local network.
Systems recommended to him so far are Hyper Card on the Mac and
NOTES or RIM on the Vax.
Other suggestions or comments on those systems would be appreciated.
PLEASE SEND THEM DIRECTLY TO ME AND I WILL COMPILE THE RESPONSES FOR
THE LIST.
Thank you.
