COMPUTER MANAGER: ASST. DIR. OF LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY, CORNELL
UNIVERSITY LIBRARY.
Under the general direction of the Dir. of Library Technology,
responsible for overall administration of the Library's NOTIS system, an
integrated system for acquisitions, cataloging, fund accounting,
circulation, and the online catalog. Ensure a high level of service to
library units and the public and contribute to an understanding of
information technologies in the Library. Includes supervision of staff
and students.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or equivalent required, advanced degree in
computer science, information or library science preferred. five to
eight years experience including at least two years of managerial
experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
as well as demonstrated managerial skills and experience with project
administration and systems operation. Two years experience in a library
or information center desirable.
