Hi, Jeannie.....it is that many titles. Since fall of 89, I believe.
They enter the title page info into their database and index is based on
that. It is all the journals received by the CARL libraries in Denver
area, such as CU-Boulder, Auraria, Denver U, etc. Email to bbailey@carl.org

I don't have the listing of periodicals indexed but I do know
that CARL's online news (I checked it this morning) indicates
that "Uncover now provides access to over 2,018,000 articles in
over 11,0000 journals."

Thanks to all who responded! One person sent me a copy of the list she had. I
was given Martha Whittaker's address at CARL, and requested a copy from her.
This morning's mail delivered a 3.5" diskette in WordPerfect 5.1 format an
alphabetical listing of titles included in CARL. Martha's address is:

We have been using CARL's UnCover service for about three
months and for the most part everyone likes it. I requested a
list of indexed periodicals from the CARL rep and he provided
it. It is now a year old (titles as of January 7, 1991) but
it lists approximately 10,000 different periodical *titles*--
not issues. As far as I know a list is still available from
the CARL representatives.

CARL will give you a two-week trial password to try UnCover. Telnet to
pac.carl.org to get info - their current news section says 11,000
titles, over 2 million articles. I suspect they're the best place to get
a listing of their holdings.
