ELECTRONIC DATA INTERCHANGE (EDI)
AND SPECIAL LIBRARIES
at the
Special Libraries Association Annual Conference
San Francisco, CA
Tuesday, June 9, 1992
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Learn how to take advantage of the efficiencies of EDI
to conduct business transactions (orders, order
inquiries, invoices, etc.) with monographs and serials
vendors using your automated library system.
Panelists will describe the nuts and bolts of EDI from
the point of view of the publisher, serials vendor and
systems vendor, and discuss the implications and
benefits of EDI for special librarians. There will be
ample time for questions and comments about this
exciting new technology following each speaker's
presentation.
