To all subscribers of PACS-L. This is my forst post to this conference so
please bare with me! I am interested in obtaining information on Libraries
which provide their users with an electronic document delivery service. The
aspect of this which I would like information is the means by which this
request is made, and the extent of which the request can be placed
electronically by requestors.

For example, at RMIT (Melbourne, Australia), we allow students access to a
number of CD-ROM databases. We are interested in providing searchers with
an option to request the full citation of a search electronically, either by
some form of TSR program, or via a seperate executable program on a menu.
We envisage that a form based design would be used, with the requestor filling
in the necessary information allowing us to complete the request.

I am interested in finding out to what extent libraries are implementing this
type of scheme, and if possible, to obtain access to these sites for possible
reference. I will also be travelling to the U.S.A. in the coming weeks, and so
would much appreciate it if I could arrange site visits to Libraries currently
implementing some form of this scheme.

I await all replies with anticipation.

Wes Brent.
