The New England Bibliographic Instruction Committee of ACRL/New England
(NEBIC) is presenting _Evaluation with a Small e: Practical Methods that
Work!_ to be held June 11, 1999 at the University of Rhode Island's College
of Continuing Education in Providence, R.I.

Have you or your colleagues done a needs assessment of your library
instruction program? Are you trying to find out "if they're learning what
you're teaching?" Have you designed a Survey, Pre-test, Post-test or tool
for evaluating library instruction? If so, then we need you!

The NEBIC planning committee for this program is currently seeking
proposals for brief presentations (20 minutes) from librarians who have used
specific library instruction tools dealing with Program Evaluation, Student
Learning Outcomes or Teaching Effectiveness. Presenters should be prepared
to speak on how they designed, implemented and interpreted the tools and the
results.

To submit a speaker's proposal please email Nancy George
(ngeorge@salem.mass.edu) at Salem State University or Mary MacDonald
(marymac@uri.edu) at the University of Rhode Island by February
23, 1999.

Please do not respond to the sender of this message.
