Watch out for MS Word -- especially in public use connected to the
Internet.

Remember! For some time, MS Word macros have been *the* most popular
tool for distributing viruses!

Here at the Hennepin County (MN) Law Library, we've been using Bardon
Data Systems' WinU (for Windows 95) for over 2 years. Although I don't
use the function, it will blackout programs by time if you wish.

You can also limit the amount of time a particular program can run,
and the latest version can limit the drives a user can save data to.
We've been very happy with it.

WinU is a menu program that replaces the normal Windows 95 "Explorer"
shell with a front end of buttons.

Maryhelen -- You might want to check out WinU from Bardon Computer
Systems (www.bardon.com). This program has many features including:
menu interfaces for individual programs, security to lock down the
desktop, etc. One feature which we have not used is a time control for
each "desk" that you create within the overall menu. After briefly
looking at it, I think this feature may answer your needs. I recommend
contacting Bardon for more info:

Please let me know if I can help in any other way. Becky
