FRANCIS Citations File Available for Free Searching
The Research Libraries Group, Inc. (RLG) is pleased to announce the
availability of the FRANCIS file through its CitaDel citation access
and document delivery service. Along with two dozen other CitaDel
files, FRANCIS is accessible by annual campuswide (multiuser)
subscription, using RLG's user-friendly Eureka searching interface or
Zephyr Z39.50 server; Zephyr allows an institution to offer RLG data
to its users through the local system with which they are already
familiar.
Produced by the French Institut de l'Information Scientifique et
Technique (INIST), FRANCIS is a citations database representing one
of the world's largest collections of research sources in the
humanities and social sciences. Its multidisciplinary, multilingual
format provides an important new tool for those conducting research
in a global environment and affords a highly relevant counterpoint to
narrowly focused subject area files.

INIST offer unlimited free searching for the month of August. To
