For some time we have been producing local documentation for our CD-ROM
workstations. Trouble-shooting sheets, prompt cards and "cut-down"
versions of the user manuals.
What we would like to do now, is to produce a "workbook" which would
give the users a much more structured approach to using CD-ROMs. We
have in mind a number of sections. Each would have objectives for the
user - being able to load a CD successfully, being able to devise a
search strategy etc. Each section would probably consist of a chunk of
information, then some exercises to test the user's comprehension and
to allow them to practice.
Has anyone else produced this type of workbook? If so would you be
willing to share the experience/reuslts with me?
