I have made a new beta release of Linux-AFS! All you need to
do (if you receive this by mail) is:
attach afsdev
cd /mit/afsdev/beta/i386_linux1
Then read the README and the Notes. The newest release is
libafs.o.1.1.40-disk. This is the AFS kernel module for Linux 1.1.40,
and it includes a number of bug-fixes (including a fix for newpag) and
it also includes a disk cache! I have successfully run large programs
like Mosaic using Linux-AFS!
The Notes explain how to install it on your machine, including how to
run using a disk cache. As always, bugs should go to
linux-afs@mit.edu!
Enjoy!

PS: If you try Linux-AFS on a different kernel than the one for which
it was built, and it doesn't work, I do not want to hear about it!
Mix-and-match kernels and modules at your own risk!
